Michael Molina

Michael J. Molina is the Vice President of Legal and Deputy General Counsel for Flock Safety, a public safety-as-a-service company that builds ethically designed crime solving technology. Mr. Molina leads this groundbreaking Y Combinator backed startup, which recently announced a $100 Million Series F fundraising effort, totaling over $480+
Million in raised capital, in order to reduce crime in America. Flock deploys the crime- solving technology in neighborhoods, small businesses and law enforcement areas of interest in over 3,000 communities across the nation. Flock Safety has reduced crime by up to 70% in communities and has produced and provided objective evidence for
police to solve hundreds of crimes every hour, with a focus on reducing subjective police activity, which has historically disproportionally impacted communities of color. Mr. Molina counsels the executive team and engages in a plethora of practices including data security, privacy, contracts and negotiation, as well as employment and intellectual property, with an emphasis on counseling engineering teams on products utilizing artificial intelligence and machine learning.

As a former Prosecutor under the first Latino District Attorney in his hometown of Brooklyn, New York, Mr. Molina has displayed a deep commitment to public safety in our neighborhoods. As an Assistant District Attorney, Mr. Molina served his community through the progressive prosecution of over a thousand criminal cases before New York State Supreme and Criminal Court. Michael was forward-thinking in his approach to policing and safety by focusing on key issues impacting minority communities, including the decriminalization of marijuana and implementation of modern bail reform. Prior to Flock Safety, Mr. Molina served in private practice where he traveled the country representing families and victims of asbestos-related terminal cancer, including Veterans and first-responders, against corporations who caused the disease through environmental hazards and dangerous consumer products.
Mr. Molina is a member of the New York State Bar and was selected as a Council of Urban Professionals Fellow, which provides a coveted one-year leadership development transformative experience for professionals of color across various sectors. Additionally, Michael is an active member of La Unidad Latina, Law Guild which provides access to higher education and law schools with an aim of increasing the number of Latinos in the legal community. Mr. Molina was named to Negocios Now 2022 “Latinos 40 Under 40” list in New York City and is a recipient of the 2023 Hispanic National Bar Association Top Lawyers Under 40 Award. Michael was selected as one of twelve members to the 2023-2025 American Bar Association Business Law Fellows Program, which aims to propel it’s Fellows via a pipeline to leadership. In 2024, he was recently recognized by Modern Counsel as a 35 Under 35 recipient for his achievements as a legal professional. Michael obtained his undergraduate and legal degrees at St. John’s University. Mr. Molina enjoys speaking at diversity functions, interfacing with student leaders, extreme adventure traveling, and dining and supporting local minority-owned restaurants and businesses.

 

Megan Niedermeyer

Megan Niedermeyer has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Megan is currently the Chief Legal Officer at Apollo.io, a sales intelligence platform. Prior to this, they served as an Independent Board Member at TestBox, an online platform for comparing B2B software. Additionally, Megan held the position of Co-Chair for the SaaS Industry Group at TechGC, a community platform for General Counsels in the venture capital and technology sectors.

In their previous roles, Megan served as the General Counsel & Corporate Secretary at Fivetran, a data connectivity platform, and as the Head of Legal & Compliance at Gusto, a company focused on supporting small businesses. Megan began their legal career as an Associate at Cooley LLP, primarily advising high-growth companies on corporate law matters.

Before transitioning to the legal field, Megan worked in international organizations and non-profits, including the American Bar Association Rule of Law Initiative and the United Nations Association of the United States of America. Megan held various roles in project management, advocacy, and communications.

Overall, Megan Niedermeyer’s work experience showcases their expertise in legal and compliance, as well as their involvement in the technology, sales, and international development sectors.

Megan Niedermeyer has a diverse educational background. Megan holds a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree in Law from the University of California, Berkeley. Prior to this, they completed a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Political Economy from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Megan also has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in International Studies – Political Science from UC San Diego. In addition to their degrees, they obtained a Certificate in the Summer Workshop in Slavic, East European, and Central Asian Languages (SWSEEL) with a focus on Serbo-Croatian from Indiana University Bloomington.

Megan has also obtained additional certifications in the field of privacy. Megan is a Certified Information Privacy Professional – Europe (CIPP/E) and a Certified Information Privacy Professional – United States (CIPP/US), both obtained through the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).
