Dylan Ramsey
Chief Legal Officer, iFIT
Dylan Ramsey serves as iFIT’s Chief Legal Officer, leading a team of professionals responsible for advising the business on commercial transactions, finance, mergers and acquisitions, governance, intellectual property, litigation, labor and employment law and other matters. Dylan has over 15 years of experience advising publicly-traded and private companies on their most critical legal and strategic challenges. He most recently served as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Vista Outdoor, Inc., an NYSE-listed outdoor recreation products company with over $3 billion of annual sales, 7,000 employees, and manufacturing, distribution and office facilities in North America, Europe and Asia. Prior to joining Vista Outdoor, he practiced corporate and securities law with the legal department at Capital One Financial Corporation and with the law firms Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP and Linklaters LLP. Dylan received his JD from the University of Virginia School of Law and his BA from the University of Pennsylvania.
Karen Gally, JD
Vice President & General Counsel, Otsuka
Karen is passionate about using her legal acumen to positively contribute to Otsuka’s business, mission and employee culture. Her leadership style is firmly rooted in Otsuka’s purpose to defy limitation, so that others can too. Driven by the belief that people perform best when they are challenged, she actively seeks ways to continuously encourage those around her to reach their full potential and fulfillment.
As Vice President & General Counsel, Karen focuses on legal issues related to clinical development, product commercialization, and corporate governance. Karen loves the diversity of the opportunities she has had in her Otsuka career, which has afforded her the ability to work on the legal issues for a compound from Phase I studies through its full lifecycle. In addition, Karen supports the Boards of Directors of Otsuka Pharmaceutical Development & Commercialization, Inc. (OPDC) and Otsuka America Pharmaceutical, Inc. (OAPI).
Karen’s ability to evolve and learn has served her well throughout her career. Prior to joining Otsuka in 2003, Karen was an Associate with Epstein, Becker & Green in the Washington, D.C. office in the national health law practice group. From 1996 through 2003, she represented national healthcare companies in the areas of durable medical equipment, home healthcare, and pharmaceuticals in criminal and civil investigations. Before earning her J.D. from the University of Maryland Carey Law School in Baltimore, Karen worked in public relations and public policy in Albany. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts from Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire.
Outside of Otsuka, Karen is on the Board of Directors of the Alliance of Aging Research and the Alumni Board of the University of Maryland Carey Law School.
Trista Engel
CEO, Paragon Legal
As Paragon’s CEO, Trista focuses on client and attorney development and strategic growth initiatives. Her role fits perfectly with her love of problem solving, building great teams, and helping people achieve success in their careers, and she thrives in the positive, supportive culture that is the key to Paragon’s longtime success. Trista joined Paragon from Calyx Capital Partners, the entrepreneurial investment firm she co-founded with Paragon’s Jessica Markowitz.
Previously, Trista worked in strategy consulting at Bain & Company. She began her career in finance at Credit Suisse and then communications consulting with The Dilenschneider Group. She earned her M.B.A. from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and her B.A. in Economics and History from Yale University, where she was a collegiate athlete for the Varsity Women’s Soccer Team.
Tracy Scanlan
Vice President, Client Development & Legal Affairs
As Paragon Legal’s Vice President of Client Development and Legal Affairs, Tracy really enjoys the challenge of matching one of Paragon’s many talented lawyers and resources with just the right client and supporting the company’s multitude of ongoing business relationships. A mother of two young children, Tracy is a strong advocate for parents remaining in the workforce in a meaningful way after they start a family, and she’s thankful to work at a company that shares her philosophy.
As a former litigator, Tracy can relate to and empathize with the day-to-day life of a lawyer. She’s also worked extensively in project management and business development, giving her insight into what businesses need to succeed. Tracy earned her B.A. in Social Welfare at University of California, Berkeley. Tracy received her J.D. from University of California, Hastings College of the Law, where she was very involved with Moot Court Competitions.
