Markus Hartman (CLO, Dragon GC)
Markus Hartmann is the Chief Legal Development Officer at DragonGC. Before joining DragonGC, Markus served as General Counsel of Mister Car Wash (NASDAQ: MCW), where he led a 30-person team providing legal oversight for North America’s largest car wash operator. Previously, he held senior legal leadership roles at several global Fortune 500 companies, including Stryker, Mercedes-Benz, and Reckitt Benckiser (RB), where he oversaw legal teams across 17 countries. At RB, his innovative litigation investment model earned recognition as the Most Innovative European In-house Legal Team by the Financial Times. A pioneer in legal technology adoption, Markus has led transformational initiatives in AI implementation and legal operations optimization. He holds a JD from Harvard Law School, an MBA from LeMoyne College, and is a retired Colonel from the United States Marine Corps Reserve, where he served for over 30 years as a helicopter pilot and then as a judge advocate.
