General
- What is In-House Connect’s mission?
Lawyers tend to rank highly on professional “loneliness” scales, and that was before the era of remote working. Now, being able to connect with peers and the overall legal community is more important than ever.
It is our hope that by organizing events, networking mixers, and other initiatives, In-House Connect can help reduce the loneliness that many lawyers feel and instead foster a community with a shared sense of friendship, purpose, and inclusion.
In-House Connect events are meant to foster a community atmosphere where everyone is friendly, respectful, and most of all, helpful and kind towards each other.

Event FAQs
Networking Mixer
- What is an IHC Mixer?
A casual networking event where 50–100 in-house legal professionals gather for drinks and conversation. No formal presentations—just peer-to-peer connection in a relaxed setting.
- Who can attend?
In-house counsel, in-house legal operations professionals, fractional GCs, and government employees can attend for free. Aside from our sponsors, non-sponsors can purchase a ticket.
- Where is this event being held?
We don’t publish our mixer locations in advance. Every attendee is screened to ensure they’re a verified in-house professional. Once approved, you’ll receive the venue details. It’s how we keep our events intimate, trusted, and valuable for the people in the room.
Non In-House individuals can purchase a ticket to attend. Please email info@inhouseconnect.org to learn more.
- What time should I arrive?
Doors open at the listed start time. We recommend arriving within the first 30 minutes to maximize networking time. Events typically run 2–2.5 hours.
- Is there a formal agenda?
No formal programming. The IHC Host gives a brief toast where our sponsors get to say hello to attendees (under 5 minutes), but the rest of the evening is open networking. The goal for everyone: every attendee makes at least five new connections.
- Is parking available?
Parking varies by venue. Check the venue’s website or plan for street parking/rideshare. Specific details will be included in your confirmation email.
- Can I bring a colleague?
Yes, as long as they’re an in-house legal professional and register separately. Non in-house guests cannot attend without a sponsor ticket.
- Can I bring my spouse?
Sorry, these events are only for legal professionals.
- What’s provided?
Complimentary drinks (beer, wine, and usually a signature cocktail) plus appetizers and buffet bites. Venues vary by city.
- What if I need to cancel?
Please update your RSVP so we can offer your spot to someone on the waitlist. No penalty for cancellations.
