How to Build Contract Playbooks that Actually Work: A How To Guide for In-House Legal

+

Event Description

When contract volume spikes, the answer isn’t always more headcount—it’s a playbook that actually drives speed, consistency, and risk control. In this hands-on session, we’ll dig into why playbooks matter more than ever as legal teams amplify their impact with AI, and how to design them so they work for humans and automation.

Join us on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at 12:00 PM ET / 9:00 AM PT as Michael Haynes, General Counsel at Juro, shares practical frameworks and examples—along with insights from a guest speaker who’s already embedding AI in their contract process. We’ll show how to build playbooks that power automation, not stall it.

Key takeaways

  • What “great” looks like in 2025: the essential sections, decision trees, and metadata your playbook needs to be AI-ready.
  • How to encode standard positions and fallbacks (with rationale) so humans and copilots reach the same answers fast.
  • Governance that sticks: ownership, versioning, and update cadences that prevent drift.
  • Adoption tactics for fast-moving teams: rollout plans, training, champions, and usage metrics that matter.
  • Integration tips: aligning playbooks with your CLM/CRM and prompting patterns that improve AI outputs.
  • Bonus: a downloadable starter template to accelerate your build.

Who should attend

In-house counsel, legal operations leaders, contracts managers, and heads of legal at growth-minded companies who want to reduce cycle times, improve consistency, and make their contracts program automation-ready—without adding headcount.

There is NO COST to attend this program!

This program is FREE thanks to our gracious sponsor, Juro — Intelligent Contracting! If you can’t make it to the live program, the recording will be available for viewing via our paid CLE library, In-House Connect On-Demand!
