Event Description

In-house IP counsel are under increasing pressure to manage complex global portfolios, deliver strategic value, and maintain high standards of quality—all while facing budget constraints and a rapidly evolving legal landscape. With the rise of AI-driven services, geopolitical instability, and shifting regulatory frameworks, the definition of “quality” in IP filings has become more fluid than ever.

Join us on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at 12pm ET / 9am PT as Cary Levitt, Managing Director, North America – Azami Global, leads a CLE session designed specifically for in-house legal teams managing patent and trademark portfolios. This session will explore how global events and emerging technologies are transforming filing standards, and how legal teams can stay ahead by adopting more strategic, adaptable approaches to IP quality.

Discussion Topics Include:

  • Redefining IP Filing Quality: How global disruptions—from pandemics to political conflict to AI adoption—are reshaping what “quality” means in IP prosecution.
  • Tailoring Filing Strategies by Jurisdiction: Why a one-size-fits-all approach no longer works, and how to adapt based on region, risk, and business context.
  • Proactive IP Strategy Development: How in-house teams can use data, automation, outsourcing, and macro-trend monitoring to protect and elevate IP value.

This program is designed for in-house counsel managing IP portfolios, international filings, and patent or trademark strategy.
